About Tin Rations

Tin Rations is an independent browser game created and directed by Sam. It centres on a small ritual: open a tin, uncover something unexpected, and take time exploring it. The setting is a wooden autumn cottage with a table, a pantry, and adjustable room sounds.

Small interactions, at your own pace

Choose a food, open its tin, turn out its contents, and explore the surface with hand and cutting controls. Pressing can leave impressions. Changing the camera angle helps you see how the shape responds. You can walk through the cottage before settling at the table.

The ASMR focus is on close, small sounds and tactile-looking interactions. Headphones are optional, and individual sounds can be adjusted or muted. This is entertainment, not a treatment or a promise of a particular sensory response.

How it is made

Sam directs the choices about movement, hands, the cottage, food interactions, and presentation. Development uses AI-assisted code and creative tools alongside third-party models, scans, textures, and sound recordings. The Sources panel inside the game provides credits and source information.

The game is playable now and continues to receive improvements. Performance varies between devices, and some food models may behave unexpectedly. Our player guide explains the current controls and troubleshooting steps.

Free to play

No purchase, account, or subscription is required. Optional $1, $2, and $5 tips support development. Tips are one-time payments and do not unlock foods or affect game access.

We are applying for unobtrusive display advertising on the website. Please never click an advertisement simply to support the game. The separate tip jar is the voluntary way to contribute directly.
